“Aisha, please introduce yourself.”

"My name is Aisha Katherina, my father is German and my mother is Indonesian. I grew up here in Bali, Indonesia and have lived in Vietnam and Australia. Growing up on an Island has definitely made me grow a passion for the ocean and nature. Being at the beach brings me peace and there’s nothing better than a sunny beach day. I love exploring islands and going on surf trips. I also have a little family of 4 cats and a mini dachshund. In my down time I love to do Pilates at home, create content and read a good book while tanning in my backyard."

“You live in Bali, Indonesia – what do you love most about life on the island?”

"Bali holds such a special place is my heart and is an island that I’ve called home over the last 14 years. One thing I love most is the cultural diversity. There are people from all around the world and everyone here is respectful and accepting to one another. I believe that is the core to a strong community, everyone here in Bali is so supportive when someone needs a hand. The Balinese culture especially continues to amaze me everyday."

“How and when did you enter the modelling world?”

"I remember doing my very first shoot when I was around 13 years old. At the beginning my mother had helped me out with everything and has taught me so much about the industry, which I’ll be forever thankful for. I have always loved taking photos since I was little and it’s been a dream of mine to peruse my modeling career."

“Self care and self love means to you:”

"To me self care and especially self love is so important. Just like your phone battery, when it’s low, you charge it. I feel that sometimes people forget to take a step back and recharge themselves. Self care is the practice of taking care of your own well-being and doing what makes you happy. It can be watching your favorite Netflix show, going for a swim or even just laying in bed and doing absolutely nothing for the day. It’s a moment for you to unwind and really relax.

Self love is something that I had struggled with in the past, but everyday I learn to love myself more and more and I’m still practicing that to this day, it’s not always easy. I always believe the saying that you can never be in love with someone until you love and accept yourself and honestly, self love is the best kind of love."

“Who or what are you inspired by?”

"Living in Bali, I get inspired everyday by all my surroundings. The nature, beaches, blue skies, butterflies in the garden, the neighborhood roosters but most importantly my family and friends. They are the ones who inspire me to reach my goals and accomplish my dreams, they’re the ones who inspire me everyday to go and do what I love. I am so lucky to have such amazing and supportive people around me and I couldn’t ask for more."

“What is your go-to local getaway and why?”

"Lombok would definitely be my go-to local getaway. There’s so many beautiful deserted beaches and it’s right next to the Gili islands. There’s nothing better than a weekend away with a good crew. I also love going on surf trips with my partner around Indonesia and it’s something we’ll be doing a lot this year since international travels are a bit restricted."

“We recently captured a Swim Series with you. What is your favourite style from the collection?”

"Everything from the swim series was so perfect but I think my favorite would have to be the Mian bikini top and Agnes bikini bottom. The fit is so flattering and there’s nothing better than a perfect fit bikini. I’m also starting to really love patterns on swimwear too. My favorites from this series is the Maddy floral print and the Faye paisley print."
