We spoke to #Faithfullgirl, artist and musician Elle Musa about how she balances her creative talents, her advice to aspiring creatives and what summer means to her.
"Hello! My name is Elle-louise and I am an artist and musician from Australia. I am a very creative and sensitive soul striving to express myself in the most authentic and beautiful way I can."
"I usually spend one week to a month working on either painting or writing/recording music. It is best when I focus on one at a time. I am trying to find balance by not working myself as hard as I used to and taking time to just chill out or hang with friends. The perfect balance has not come to me yet, but maybe that is the point in which art is made anyway.. when there is a little bit of chaos."
"Start by playing in the craft you enjoy most. Do not compare yourself to other creatives and sometimes it helps to not even look at what others are doing. Everyone has it in them to create beauty. Not everyone will or has to like what you do. Trust your instinct. When you aren't feeling it, have a break. There is no rush. Keep working even when you feel you are failing. Get out of your comfort zone. Try to share what you do without high expectations. You are allowed to LOVE what you do- speak highly of yourself. (all of these things are advice to myself as well lol)."
"Romantic evenings, oysters and margaritas, holidays by the sea, bossa nova."
"Daily swims, tingly sunkissed skin, an ocean breeze, the sound of birds in the trees, reuniting with friends, storms, dinner dates, dancing to music from Brazil and Cuba, holidays."
"Hibiscus."
"I choose to feel joyful, loved, full of peace and inspired everyday."
