Inside The éliou Collection

Step into the design studio for a special collaboration with éliou, returning for its second chapter. A collection of unique pieces, designed with the ease of summer in mind.

Fusing the inspiration behind the Resort 2026 collection, La Casa, with the architecture of Luis Barragán and the vibrant heritage of Mexico, Duda Teixera and Cristina Mantilla, the co-founders of éliou, reimagine these influences through their own playful lens. Each piece reflects the palette, textures and silhouettes of the season – a blend of bold colour, organic form and artisanal detail. Handcrafted with care they explore contrasting materials including vibrant glass beads, freshwater pearls, statement shells and gold accents.

Below, Duda and Cristina share the intimate notes from their process, inspiration moodboards and how they imagined each piece would be styled.

éliou’s philosophy is rooted in creating original jewelry and clothing with intention, care and a deep respect for craftsmanship. Each piece is designed to speak for itself, carrying its own voice and point of view.

The starting point for this capsule was Luis Barragán. We were immediately drawn to his mastery of color and use of light through his architecture. It was easy to see why he became the inspiration for FAITHFULL’s latest collection. When FAITHFULL approached us to collaborate on a capsule that blended their world and ours with Barragán’s, we tried to approach the design process through all of these different lenses – keeping their resort-friendly silhouettes in mind while bringing in éliou’s instinct for color and hand-finished details, which we felt naturally complemented Barragán’s signature style.

We spent significant time revisiting Barragán’s work for this project, since we've been fortunate enough to have visited a few of his properties in Mexico on past trips. What really resonated with us was how he played with soft light against saturated walls and used colour without hesitation. That fearless mix of sharp and soft was already familiar to us and became our starting point for the collection, which we translated into warm pinks and sun-washed yellows, grounded by neutral tones. Our desire was to mix all three worlds into one through this exclusive jewellery capsule.
